Debraj paints with oils and acrylics on canvas as well as charcoal, water colour and acrylic on paper. His paintings often depict vivid abstractions through which he conveys serious social messages though usually in a humorous manner. He tries successfully to capture the complex thoughts of city life that “is more real than reality” but has a surreal effect on the viewer.
